Prines
is one of the villages above the bay of Rethymnon on the island of Crete, by the Old National Road to Georgioupolis and Hania.
In the village there are two groceries, a taverna, kafenions and a gas station.
More shops, supermarkets, restaurants, a butcher's shop, a bakery and an Internet cafe are located in the bigger neighbouring village of Atsipopoulo (1,500 meters).
